| | | Eliigible applicants must have prior construction experience. | Weatherization Technician Training is a competency-based hands-on training course focusing on techniques and applications used in residential energy conservation work to prevent air infiltration and minimize heat loss. The program was created by Summit Academy OIC and some of the nation's top subject experts including Conservation Service Group, Center for Energy and Environment, and Community Action of Minneapolis.
Areas of training include:
- Insulation - Foundation, walls and attics
- Exterior/interior Caulking
- Weather Stripping
- Air Sealing
- Blower Door Diagnostics
- Window Retrofit and Replacement
